Tomorrow is the anniversary of my son's birth...
34 years ago...in a land far, far away...
I was 17, and happy...
naive, and new to the world,
I had only just begun my journey.
Married the day after my 17th birthday,
because 16 was way, way, to young,
it just made sense, that 17 would always
be much easier to say how old I was
when I first married.
It was amazing...I remember the
first time he was in my arms...
"He's so beautiful!"
I would think all mothers must feel that
first bond of love with their newborns.
Asking my Granny, years ago, if she remembered
her children being born...she said
"No, not really."
So I was determined to remember.
Thank you Granny for that.
It's an amazing thing, to think they
just hand over this brand new life to you.
It's yours, well, for awhile anyway.
You get to '~own~' them for such a short time.
It truly goes too fast.
And if we all could only realize how
truly amazing it is, while it's new,
maybe it'd never get old...maybe we'd
never forget that first burst of love.
If all children could be loved so dearly,
If all children never had to feel fear...
Maybe there would be more amazing people
in the world like my son.
I share this love, and would say to
all parents...love your children unconditionally.
Make sure they know how much they are loved.
If we raise loving children, they will
become loving adults...love begets love...
"And what a Wonderful World this could be..."

Ok...so I get a little distracted...
Yep, just what I thought, I didn't do the 'flash fiction' thing...so I slacked...seems I only know 'not-not real' stuff...in other words...the truth, the real stuff. So I shall focus on that.
I'm learning the in's and out's of the internet...what to do to make it work for you. So as I progress, I'll put important information on another page...this one is just for the daily grind...:)) So look for the "Money" page...that should draw some interest. People seem to need it, probably more than they actually like it. But in a monetary society, we have no choice but to know it, and all about it. So that is what that page will be about.
I've not released this blog to anyone, I know, so if you come across it...it's just by chance...so hello...and goodbye...I know you won't be back...:)) But maybe someday...you'll happen upon this blog again, and
you'll want to follow it...it will be something...someday...:))

Another day…
Submitting stories can be stressful…in this ~soulful~ existence…things touch you quite quickly…there's somebody at the end of those emails, hiding behind the monitor…sending out words they know will not be taken well…but they do it…anyway…I'm sure there is the occasional acceptance email that goes out…I bet that feels good to write…to send…to receive a reply to…those are ones I'd like to be able to send out…of course, getting them is just fine and dandy, too. I'll settle for that…for now…JJ

Mondays are so hard...
Well, hard to get around to writing about all the drudgery of washday, cleaning, and all those Monday chores I hate so much...it's a dirty job...but somebody has to do it...I didn't even get a story in yesterday...too sad...indeed...

The Blazer has left...
Although I'm so happy for Ashley to get the Blazer, it's still a bit sad to think of it as gone...it'll never be gone, so I'm not sure what it is that I'm feeling...I guess that we were never able to fix it up, and use it ourself...
Trying, wasn't enough...paying thousands of dollars, wasn't enough...so it's good to see someone love it again. So it shold be good...I'm sure it is...I'm so excited for Ashley, she's so excited...so I know it'll all be good, once it's drivable...that part, I'm looking forward to. And we'll have to borrow it back, at least once, just to get to have one last ~outting~ in it...that'll be fun, for sure...:))

I did it! 5 stories in 5 days...AND it's FRIDAY!!!
This story, Fresno's Kings Canyon National Park, has a slide show...1 page view for each of the 18 photos...sweet. We'll see how the page views go now...hehehe...and they're not necessarily my best photos...but they do reflect what a days drive will be like. It really is amazing, I so love it up there...well, just about any National Park will do, I'm sure. The great outdoors, is truly great.
Robin & Larry are driving up to Oregon...they left at 4am this morning...I hope they have a wonderful trip. It's so far...they are so adventurous...we need to get out more, for sure. They'll be gone till the 30th, man, that's a long time...I'll have to keep texting her...! :))

Is it Friday yet? nooooooooooo!
Trying to come up with something to say everyday will be quite a challenge...what could possibly be important enough to say everyday...well...we shall see...
I did start on the video clips of my bike ride...it's a 2 mile ride...takes about 10 minutes, and with 102 picture clips, it makes a 1:42 movie...so it's much faster...no sound...but it still looks neat...I'll definitely have to improve on it...but at least the wheels are turnin'! :))
And, I got started on the garage...filling up the 'new' shelf...it'll be so nice to be able to actually find things when you need them...:)
And, I've published 4 stories on Examiner.com in 4 days...if I can do tomorrow...that'll be my goal...we shall see...:))

Signing up for more stories...
I can't imagine writing for 4 topics...but maybe...I might just get to...
I'm already writing for the Fresno Photography Examiner, but I just applied for the Fresno Ebay Examiner, maybe the Fresno Chihuahua Examiner, and maybe even, Fresno Couples Cooking Examiner...who makes up these titles???!!!??? Oh well...there were plenty more I could have picked, like the Fresno Dog Pictures Examiner! Hehehe...it even types funny...there were too many funny ones, but I was looking for the Gardening title, but alas, it wasn't there. There was a Fresno Camping Examiner, that'd be fun, if we were still camping...but it's been almost 2 years since we've been camping. There's a new tent out in the garage...gathering dust...oh well...maybe later...
So we'll see if those other titles come through...that should be interesting...if they do, that is...:))

On a different note...I attached my bicycle camera mount today, and took pictures as Oso and I rode through the neighborhood...what a site, indeed! It was fun...but his head was in the way most the time, so I'll have to probably go without him, if I want to see what the pictures would be like without a hairy head in them...here's the video file...so you can see what it was like...:)Ok, so there's no sound...well...it was a sequence of pics, made into a video...next time, I'll take a 'real' video...:)

Is it that hard to 'comment'? I'm sure everyone is familar with the keyboard...haha...they made it ~that~ far...oh well...I guess it's harder than it seems, to put words in order...and make them come out like something you'd say out loud...oh well...

Yeah...made it through another weekend...somehow...
Somehow, the weekends are long...seemingly longer than the weeks..why is that? The weeks fly by...I can never seem to get enough done. But yet, the weekends, if you don't plan something, seems to drag by. Oh well, guess it'll balance itself out, if I ever get enough done during the week.
Trying to keep up on my Examiner stories, if I can get 3 to 4 in a week, that'll be a good start, to have some examples of my work. It doesn't exactly pay...well, not enough to say it does, anyway. So it's really going to be just a place to show that I can somewhat write a complete thought, every now and then.
I'm going to try to keep up with this blog thing...it's really hard...who really wants to read the every day goings on of somebody else? You'd have to really want to know...so, for those of you who might want to, there ya go...read away...:))

Yep...it happened...my computer crashed...it didn't actually make a big thump...but it sure made ripples of effects for the past few weeks...dang...might as well had ~thumped~ real loud...I miss my stuff...it was all there...somewhere...now I have to find stuff...and put it where I can use it...re~install stuff...re~sort stuff...re~place stuff...the '~re~' stuff is gettin' old, already...it put stuff like this on hold...dang...will it ever settle...again??? :P

Well, I did get out today...and if you've already read the photo blog...you know...I got a new camera! I was supposed to run some other errands...but went to Boots Camera first...so I totally forgot everything I was supposed to do! Including picking up Brandon! I'm so sorry man! I can't believe I grabbed the camera and ran home so fast...that's all I've done this afternoon...it's soooooo fun! Got to go...play...bye! :)

Well, we had Dan's company over on Saturday, and all went so well...it was so fun having a ~social~bbq! :) We had the backyard all ready...purty much every woodchip in its place...we got the mist'rs up in the gazebo, which help to cool that area...the 'airplane' fan hardly had a chance with over 100°'s Saturday. So we stayed inside, which was nice to have enough areas for everybody to be able to sit at a table to eat.
Everything was so perfect...we even had outdoor music...the neighbors was having a DJ hosted party, so that was nice, they even brought over some dinner for us...we saved that for Monday night. Such great neighbors...:)
Until I decided to water...all was perfect. I forgot to turn off the last station, which we need to connect to a power box, so it will be automatic. Because I sure am not automatic! It flooded the path area, oh well. In this heat, it only took a couple of days to dry out. :)
So we'll have to decide who to invite over next weekend...a bbq every weekend in July...that's the plan, after all that hard work to have a great backyard...I'll keep ya's posted on who got to come! :)

Yes, this 4th of July was so totally boring...except I slammed my camera down on the concrete...not intentionally...a new tripod deceived me...fell over when I wasn't looking...damn...I wanted a new camera...but not at this expense...damn...that's all I remember about the 4th of July...that I broke my camera...damn...

July is here...and we're just about done with the yard...you'll have to see the pics on my Facebook site...I'll try to get a few here, too...
I've been finally hanging pictures & paintings in the house...they've sat on the floor so long, I have to clean every one of them...so it's taking a bit longer than I thought it should...deciding where stuff goes took the longest...it's coming out quite nice...I'll see about some pics for that too...
Otherwise...I can't seem to make time for my favorite healthy muffins...maybe today...if I can get away from the computer...haha...I haven't wrote an article this week...so that should be first...haha...

Summer just started...and already it's so easy to be lazy...with the big bbq only a couple weeks away...we should have got a lot done today, instead...we did nothing...oh well...
We did manage to look into our 'upper' attic area...it was interesting...blazing hot...and not for the faint...we need to figure out if the alarm system is hooked up, to what...oh well...maybe later...
We are going to go to our local Farmers Market in Sanger...that should be interesting...then on out to take some full moon shots...so maybe there'll be something more worth writing about...later...:)

I got my new camera today...after ~killing~ my last camera...accidently...but none the less, dead...I had to have something...and finally just did it...it's a Pentax K-x...does more than I can do...that's for sure...it'll be fun learning a new trick...for sure...:)~

Ok, we went out last night, to try and ~shoot~the~moon~ and it didn't work...so we'll try again, tonite, because tonight is the full moon...and we shall see how it goes...there will be pics...if it goes well...:)
